Today at lunch, it was decided that preparations were going to begin in earnest on the move process. The house is nearing completion, so we girls can start packing in the meantime. Mom, Mary, and Anna packed up the sewing room and moved it over. Mom was delighted with all of the space 🙂 . (I worked in the basement…)
MomA place for everything, and everything in it's place (well, that's the desire at least!)Jesse was doing a small tiling project.Joseph built cabinets to go on either side of the fireplace.John hung doors today. It is really looking like a house!Joseph, working on the fireplace...Ah!! We found books Abigail would enjoy (Mom and Mary moved books over this afternoon). Nathan, Melanie, and Abigail were visiting, and Abigail was a welcome distraction, but that can't be helped because she's so cute.Reading books (and occasionally fixing her hair bow that was falling out)...She is really growing up!No, I am not getting ready for a conference trip, but rather, it's time to start packing up!

It’s wonderful to see the fruits of your labor so near to finishing. You all must be so excited–congratulations on all your hard work, and thank you for sharing. Karen n.
First of all, Abigail is getting so big! And she is just cuter than cute.
Secondly, the house is getting so close to finished! We can’t wait to see more pictures of the finished product. Thanks for letting the readers of your blog watch the house go from beginning to end, it’s been fun to observe!
Grace, mae

Thank you for sharing. I get encourage every time I read your blog! I like to sew, but for some reason I keep having a mess of material and sewing things. Do you have any tips? Also I forgot wich one of you do gardening, is it Mary? well, How is your gardening goin? I saw the pepers picture last year. Here in Virginia the gardens are full of dafadils flowers already.
Leticia ——————— Mrs. Leticia, In our current house, Dad set us up a little area for sewing, which worked out well. He bought two free-standing cabinets, that had three shelves. Then, he purchased a countertop, and he placed that over the cabinets, so there was one cabinet on either end. We put our sewing machine and serger on the countertop, and it was a nice area to be able to work on. We kept our patterns in a Rubbermaid type of tub and our fabric in several tubs. Each of us girls got our own shelf to keep our current project on. For quite a few years, this has been the way we’ve done it. Only now, with our new house, will we have a little more room, and the fabric is in cabinets, and the patterns will probably be too, etc. Anna is the one who gardens. Because of our move and settling in, I don’t think she’ll be doing too much :-). Sarah
Moving is fun. Your mom is indeed very happy…love your assortment of fabrics. =D I can see your home is almost complete…just some final touches here and there. Thank you for sharing the progress from beginning to almost the end. Your niece Abigail is indeed very cute and growing up. Thanks for sharing.
