Right before our conference in Perryton, Texas last February, the project was spackling (or another word for knock-down or texture) the walls upstairs. It was a hot, tiring job!

Now, the house is almost done! We are possibly a month away from moving in :-). Here are some recent pictures.

John and Joseph recently got cell phones, and it is amazing how often we need to call each other. We do not have a land-line phone at the new house yet.

Dad has spent countless hours painting--and he still has more to go. Everyone chose their own room colors, and some had multiple to add variety, so it became quite complex :-) .

  1. That is so exciting! We broke ground for our new house June of 08 and we are about 2-3 months away from moving in. It has been a long process, but God has been so good. We have learned a lot! We are now planning the flooring and deciding on the kitchen. The house has all been painted. What a learning experience this has been! πŸ™‚ God is faithful!

  2. Sarah I love it when you share pictures of the house! If possible I think a picture tour would be great after you are all moved in and settled. What a blessing to have a new home for you all! We here understand the work in building a home – we are slowly remodeling ours. Hopefully we’ll finish one of these days.

Thanks again for sharing the pictures (I love that color green by the way!).

  3. Dear Maxwells,
Thank you for the photo timeline–I’d been wondering how things were shaping up. You must be so excited, and with good reason. Your new home is a testament to faith, hard work, and family. Take care, and may you continue to be a beacon of the Lord.
    Blessings,
    Karen

  7. How exciting! We just helped our son build a house and understand all the hard work that goes into it. What a blessing! I’m sure it will be used greatly not only for a home but for ministry as well. God bless you all – we enjoy your blog.

  8. Wow!! Congratulations!!! That is wonderful news, that you may be moving into your new house soon. It certainly is encouraging to know that seemingly impossible tasks (like building a house) can be done together as a family. The Lord is so good!!!
