  1. I guess little BabyMax, just is happy where he/she is!! Praise God for each day that baby stays put. I know it is trying and you most be tried and long to hold your sweet baby. In Gods time you will be holding your sweet baby.Till then focus on each other and being together, this will be the last time you are “alone”. Try to rest. Nathan maybe some fresh air would be good! It opens your mind up and leaves you feling refreshed! Your wife is going to need you wide awake very soon!!! Praying for you all. Thank you for your updates. I am not much into computers but, find my self “checking on you all a few times a day!” Love to all.

  2. Thanks so much for the update! I do keep wondering!

Dear Lord, I pray right now for Nathan and Melanie, that You’d give them your peace as their minds are stayed on You, that You’d strengthen and encourage them. I thank You that the doctors have been willing to wait this long, and I pray that You will continue to give them wisdom. And I pray for the baby to be born at the time You have appointed, strong and healthy, that this baby will be able to go home with them. But, we trust in You whatever the outcome. May You be glorified throughout all of this. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

  3. Thank you so much for your continued updates. Praying for your family.
    Blessings,
    Jennifer

  4. Praying for you in Florida..

Deuteronomy 33:27, 29 “The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. He will drive out your enemy before you…Blessed are you, O Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by the Lord? He is your shield and helper and your glorious sword.”

It has been a blessing to pray for your family this past year and a half. Our family experienced a miscarriage on Dec 12th, 2006, and then God amazingly gave us a precious baby girl, on Dec 12th 2007. My husband named our baby girl, Joy Noelle, and we were awed how He gave us “Joy,” following our grief. How Great is Our God! Dec 12th also happens to be my husband’s birthday, so it makes God’s perfect timing all the more clear to us!

I will pray for you to have rest in the Everlasting Arms of God as you wait on Him, and His Strength for the Days to Come. May God give you His Peace as the delivery draws closer.

Thank you for being a blessing to our family. We have been blessed by your testimonies, and by the resources you have provided. (My kids love the Moody books, and they love their chore packs, but they also appreciate the “Meek and Quiet Spirit” Mommy when she is walking in God’s Spirit and Strength!)

  5. I pray you feel the presence of the Lord unlike you’ve ever experienced. I pray your labor be a peaceful time in the Throne Room of Grace. May the Lord bless you with quick, peaceful, effective labor. May the Lord’s Creation come forth in full health and peace. I pray this blessed child latch on and nurse like a pro. Expect great things from the Lord. He is the Creator and the Deliverer. Isaiah 66:9 “‘Do I bring to the moment of birth and not give delivery?’ says the Lord. ‘Do I close up the womb when I bring to delivery?’ says your God.” I am praying the same prayers for you that I prayed for myself when I delivered our second son 3 months ago. May you feel God’s presence envelope you three.

  6. glad to hear things are all quiet. I’m sure you are all in good hands at the hospital. We are continuing to pray for all of you, as well as your drs and nurses and hospital staff. May your family be a bright light to everyone you encounter. God’s blessings!

  7. My prayers are with you and your wife. May this child come into this world to two loving parents, strong and healthy. you have been put on our church prayer link may God bless you all Kathleen

  9. Thank you for the update! We are waiting and praying!!! (though I am sure not nearly as much as Melanie and you are!) It is a blessing to see you both looking so peaceful with the situation. God will bless you! Blessings,
    Carl~n~Vania

  10. Hi Melanie & Nathan,
I am praying for you and for the safe arrival of baby. I am excited to see how the Lord will use this little one.
    Love, Rachel

  11. Keeping you all in our prayers.

I have a friend whose water broke at 32 weeks. She was put on bedrest in the hospital for 2 weeks and had a healthy 4 lb baby at 34 weeks. The baby is now 2 years old. πŸ™‚

  12. Still praying for you guys today and checking in often for an update. The Lord brought this verse from Isaiah to mind, so I hope it will encourage you.

    Isaiah 26:3-4

3Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

4Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:

  13. Thank you so much for updating. We are keeping you all in our prayers as you wait on our Lord.

  14. Thanks for the update — we are waiting right along with you! And praying, of course! A friend of mine had her water break at 30 weeks and she was in the hospital until her daughter was born at 32 weeks. They encouraged her to eat, eat, eat (well, hospital food, so how much of it can you really take, right?), in order to get the baby’s weight up. She said aside from being scared, she enjoyed the eating part (all the good stuff — milk shakes, lasagne, ice cream)! That baby is now 6 and brilliant in every way.

So, Nathan, good for you going out and getting Mexican for Melanie on her special day (and well, actually, every day right now should be considered her special day — she’s going through a LOT!). Keep up the ‘order-outs’ — hospital food can be so yucky!

  15. and we’re still praying. it is an answer to prayer that babymax is cozy and happy right where he is πŸ™‚
    blessings.

  16. I thought this was an awesome scripture…I just read it tonight and wanted to share. I am sure you have heard it many times. I especially like the part about God knitting the babies together in their mothers womb!!! Ò€œFor you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.Ò€- Ps 139:13-14

  17. I am thrilled you are still waiting! The Lord is good, and I know that He has your BabyMax tenderly by the hand, and that He will deliver baby in His good time. Alleluia!

    With love in Christ,

Sarah, for all in the family

  18. Stay there and wait. Remember, one day in is 2 less days in the NICU! I’m praying for you and the baby.

  19. Still praying, and will continue!!! Praising God for His faithfulness…hope you’re all doing well, resting in Him!
