Melanie’s water broke early this morning but hard labor hasn’t followed. We are back at the hospital. Once again we have no idea when anything will happen, but for now things are relatively quiet. Dr’s are content to watch/wait. At this point Baby will probably come sooner rather than later but that’s all we know.
Thank you for your prayer support of BabyMax and Melanie. I remember picking up a book from a popular Christian author (I’ll leave the name out) at a book store 10+ years ago and flipping through it to see what it was about. One line stood out and stuck in my memory, something like “No, we can’t do that yet, the saints are not praying yet!” Driving in to the hospital this morning, that line was running through my head. It is a blessing to have prayer support!
Nathan

I can’t even begin to imagine what you’re going through, but I am so glad that you trust in Christ and know how high, long, wide and deep is His great love for you!
Lifting you up and asking for God’s grace…thanks for keeping us updated!

Looks like little Baby Max just wants to be with his/her mommy in time for Mother’s day. Praying for Melanie’s delivery to be safe and not difficult, for Baby’s lungs to be strong and healthy, and for wisdom and strength for Nathan and those who will be caring for your precious little treasure. We all love you and will be praying! I Peter 5:7

Thank you for keeping us up to date so we know how to specifically pray for you, Melanie, and Baby. Psalm 34. Praying for you that baby will come safely in God’s perfect time. Praying for a safe delivery. Diana
I just wanted to add a note – that there are probably far more saints praying than you might think. I’ve been with you a while now, reading, crying, rejoicing, and praying, but had yet to comment. I’m sure I must represent MANY who are likewise quietly following your story. I will pray for you two and that precious baby of yours nonstop, KNOWing that our faithful God holds you close to His heart.
I’ll be praying for the 3 of you! So much to take in, but not too big for our great God. I’m 3 weeks behind you, Melanie. Will be waiting with much anticipation to hear your baby’s name and announcement. What a Mother’s Day weekend!
I found your blog from a preemie site I used to frequent. My twin boys were born at 34 weeks and looking at them today…they are 8 months old and thriving. I am struggling with my faith at this time so I really don’t know what to say in the way of spiritual encourgement like everyone else here so eloquently can, but my favorite psalm is 121: I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.
God’s peace.
