Melanie’s preterm labor has progressed so we’ve spent another night in the hospital for observation. She will either spend a number of more days as an inpatient or be released to a nearby hotel. Doctors aren’t comfortable with us being 45-60 minutes from the hospital when baby could come very quickly.
We continue to covet prayer support for wisdom in decision making, protection for Baby, and minimal contractions.
In Christ,
Nathan, Melanie, and BabyMax
I am praying Malachi 3:11 over you Melanie and Baby Max. Just at the scripture says I declare in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. That the Lord Most High — “will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.” (Think of your womb as the vine and field)
I have prayed this over all my pregnancies. Out loud I confess the word of the Lord. There is so much power in His word and when we declare and pray His scriptures, the enemy has no hold over us. Because we have been redeemed from the curse of the Law (Galatians 3:13).
I encourage you dear sister, to plead the Blood of Christ over yourself and your baby. I do this daily over myself and my entire family including my womb (which I am not pregnant–but for future pregnancies). And also to put in memory of course Psalm 91 and Psalm 34 –knowing that He delivers you of ALL fears!! Now that is good news. His WILL is to do Good and Bless you!!! Just let the words of the Lord come forth from your mouth, out loud. Don’t let any negative words but the Lord’s words come forth. Remember the Power of the Blood and Remember his Words. The enemy wants to snuff out our faith in Him.
Farewell, In Jesus Holy Name!!!! I can’t wait to hear the good report.
Thank you for the update, Nathan. We are praying for you! We now live in Lenexa…not sure what hospital you’re at, but if there is ANYTHING you need or any way that we could be a blessing, if you’re in the area, please let us know. We’d love to help. Otherwise, know you remain in our thoughts and prayers!

We’ve been checking your blog several times each day, to see if there were any updates on the baby. Please know we are praying for you and Baby Max.
Nathan & Melanie,
You are in my prayers. Hang on dears, soon that precious gift will be in your arms. I usually don’t respond to blogs, but wanted to tell you of my Godchildren. Ajori was born at 29 weeks gestation and weighed 1lb 7oz. She entered my life when she was 3 months old and I met her mommy, my dearest friend, in the waiting room of our pediatricians office. 3 years later my friend was blessed enough to become pregnant again. Doctors assured her all should go well and she was in good shape. Little Jarin was born at 27 1/2 weeks gestation weighing 1lb 3oz. Ajori stayed in with us and many prayers were said for her little brother. God is great! These wonderful children are now 7 and 4, perfectly healthy and happily driving their mother and father to distraction!
I hope you know so many are praying for you and holding you close in their hearts. You too Baby Max!
Peace and Strength.
Gathering the children together right now to pray~ Remember our Lord is always with you (Matt. 28:20), He careth for you (I Peter 5:7), His Grace is Sufficient (2 Cor. 12:9), God hath not given us a spirit of timidity (2 Tim. 1:7) and as you trust and lean fully on Him, He will direct your paths (Prov. 3:5-6).
You will be in our earnest prayers day and night. We love you all.
love,
Jaynee (for all the family)
