Susannah Joy Update

Susannah Joy made it past the twenty four hour mark. She is still in very critical condition and unresponsive. She needs for her blood pressure to stabilize. There are other concerns the doctors have, but if the blood pressure isn’t where it needs to be, the other issues don’t matter. We are grateful for all the prayer support and encouragement. We serve a God Who works miracles for those who trust Him. We are seeking to fully trust and look to Him.

  1. We are all praying for Susannah Joy, Melanie and Nathan, as well as the rest of the family (Maxwells and Melanie’s family too). May God surround you with His love and carry you through the day. May you keep your focus on Him as it would be so easy (and undertandable) to worry- but we know that He is trustworthy. Jer. 29:11
    In Christ,
    Sarah, for all the family

  2. What a blessing! Twenty-four hours is a huge milestone in the little ones, I will continue praying for her strength and that she becomes strong to worship the Lord. Our bible verse for the day was sent just for you.

“10Brothers, as an example of patience in the face of suffering, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. 11As you know, we consider blessed those who have persevered. You have heard of Job’s perseverance and have seen what the Lord finally brought about. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy.” James 5: 10-11

  11. My sister had a 5 lb, 5 oz. baby who made it through, and who just had a very special 3rd birthday! God is able. Thank you for all the updates; it must be difficult to write about what you are going through, but I know from experience that with our Lord and Christian brothers and sisters at our side, it bears us up. We thought we were going to lose our now 13 year old boy a few years, ago, and he is completely well. The Lord is able to “do abundantly”, “above all that we ask or think”.

  14. May our Lord hold Susannah in His hands, and keep her close. May He give you all the strength of faith that you to walk this road He has placed you on.

“He will tend his flock like a shepherd; he will gather the lambs in his arms; he will carry them in his bosom, and gently lead those that are with young.” Isaiah 40:11

  15. Praying for you and Susannah Joy. I know your heartache but am convinced that God strengthens and comforts you.

“I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.” Psalm 139:14-18

  24. Hear my cry, O God: attend unto my prayer.
From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy. (Psalm 61:1-3)
We are praying for sweet baby and all of you. We have been through this also.

  25. I had a 2.5 lb preemie in late 2006 that is now thriving at home. So it’s still true our Lord Jesus is truly a miracle working God. We are praying for Him to give you a similar outcome for Susannah. Trust in Him for He is faithful!!!
