Baby Update

Melanie and baby continue to be doing well. Melanie is having more contractions and getting more uncomfortable in general. But, we hear that’s how pregnancies go. 🙂

The most recent Dr’s appointment was very positive.

We continue to be blessed with care from my family. Even during the house building project there is always someone at least available and often over here. Recently a deliveryman brought something to the door and was ringing the doorbell. Melanie called across the street and Sarah came running over to receive the package. My mom, with all she has going on, spends time visiting with Melanie, cleaning, tidying, and whatever else needs to be done over here. Mary and Anna are becoming quite skilled Momma/baby-sitters. My grandma sends meals over, is great company for Melanie, and continues to take care of our laundry. We are so grateful for the care we are receiving. It is allowing Melanie to stay down and rest–exactly what she’s supposed to be doing.

  1. Thank you for the update Nathan. We are glad to hear that baby and mommy are doing well.
As for the discomfort, yes, that’s par for the course. However, having had 3 normal pregnancies and 2 that required bedrest, I can attest that when you are on bedrest, the normal discomfort complaints are magnified.
Please continue to update us and let us know if you have any other specific prayer requests. We continue to lift you up in our prayers and it’s nice when we can be specific.
Not too much longer now and when baby arrives it won’t seem like it was any time at all.
    Many blessings to you!

  2. Every day I come do a quick check on this post and praise God that we haven’t heard a thing about the baby because I assumed that that meant that he/she was still in the womb- which is such a great thing!!! Praying that he/she is able to go to full term, praying for peace for Melanie in staying down (what a hard hard job in all honesty!) and praying for baby’s surgery and healing. May God be praised and may the Great Healer continue to be at work in mighty ways.

  3. I am so glad to hear that all is going well. I understand the harship of being on bedrest. I am sure it is a wonderful help to have family so close to help out. I will be praying for you all.

  4. PRAISE THE LORD for this update. I too check and rejoice with each day this little blessing stays put. May you continue to be HIs witness to each construction worker, delivery person, doctor, nurse, receptionist, etc.

  5. Praise the Lord!!! We continue to pray for mommy and baby… and daddy too! May the Lord keep you all healthy, peaceful and comforted as you wait for His appointed time to bring baby Maxwell into the world!

Thank you also for the updates!

  6. We are still praying for you. We rejoice in your positive doctor’s report! May the Lord give you both ideas of what types of things He would like Melanie to do during this trying time. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

    Have a blessed weekend!

  7. Thank you so much for the update! You don’t “have to” keep blogging when I’m sure you have plenty of other things to do, but I want you to know that we really appreciate that you’re keeping us all “in the know” so that we can be praying for you you all! My heart is rejoicing each day that I check the blog and find out that little Maxwell baby is staying right where he/she should be — Momma’s womb! Continuing to pray with you all and trust the Lord’s perfect timing for his/her birth!! What a blessing it is to hear of your family’s ‘servant hearts’ for one another, too. What an amazing testimony to this world of the Love of Jesus!

  8. Priase God for the good report! Thank you for taking the time to update us. Praying for all 3 of you. 🙂

  9. We too are rejoicing in the good report concerning Melanie and baby, thanks for sharing. You will all continue to be in our prayers.
