A short update . . . Melanie was released from the hospital and is now home resting. We were very happy driving home from the hospital – all three of us. Everyone was where they were supposed to be – the two adults in the front seats and baby in the womb.
Now we wait and see when the Lord’s timing is for Little One to arrive. We pray that is early April, but have no way of knowing.

Yeah! I am happy to see this announcement. The Maxwell Family was KEY in my husband and I learning God’s plan for our family’s size and we feel privileged to pray for Melanie, Nathan, and Baby during this time. I remember 5 months of bedrest…I will pray for Melanie everyday! Keep your eye on the prize. If you came home on Trebutaline (sp?) please know the shakes really do go away after several days. We had one baby born at 31 weeks and another at 33 weeks. Both were fairly healthy and breathed on their own. God works miracles and this baby will makes his/her entrance at just the proper time.
Glad to hear that Melanie is home and baby is still in the womb! We’ll continue to lift all of you up before our Lord. I have been on bedrest and know how difficult it can be so I’ll be praying for that as well.
We will continue to pray that the baby stays put and that Melanie experiences no more preterm labor or other complications. We are so thankful and grateful to hear that you are all home again safe and sound. Thank you also for your frequent updates! We diligently check on you daily as we pray!
Praise the Lord for your great update. Our family is praying for you. Our 7 year old daughter and 4 year old boy pray for you every night. May the Lord give you an extra measure of grace during this trying time.
Praying for you,

Nathan & Melanie,
I have been reading the blog and following your pregnancy news. I was saddened to hear of the difficulties you were experiencing and then found joy to learn that you are now home and resting.
My first child was due on May 14, but was born on March 3, at 30 weeks. She is turning 15 next month and doesn’t have any lasting problems from her prematurity. I also experienced magnesium sulfate during my second pregnancy after going into pre-term labor at 28 weeks. That baby made it to the 37 week mark and had no problems at birth. I know that you don’t want your baby to be born this early, but I wanted to share my story to hopefully encourage you. When I dealt with preterm labor, I didn’t know anyone else who had been through that and it would have been helpful to hear of other success stories while I was experiencing it. Our family has been praying for you. We have been to two of your family’s conferences, and although we’ve never met the two of you, my children feel as if the Maxwell family members are all good friends. Our hope is that you will experience peace throughout this time in your life and know that God works all things for good.

Dear Maxwell Family,
I am sorry to hear about the trouble Melanie is having keeping the baby inside where it is most safe. Of course we know that God is truly in control. I have learned SOOOOO MUCH this past year about God and His faithfulness through our pain and suffering. Our family would not trade ONE MINUte of this battle! God is so very good.
And knowing what I know about our God I will be praying earnestly for both Nathan and Melanie, and of course for the sweet baby nestled inside. I will pray the baby has peace and settles down, just too anxious to meet his awesome family and see his loving mother I guess. I will pray that Melanie will have extra doses of patience to lay around and take it easy. I have read many of Amy Carmicheal’s writings and it seemed like each day God was speaking right through it to me. Has she read any of Amy C’s stuff? My favorite so far has been “Thou givest, They gather” EVERY DAY God spoke to me out of that book and His Word also of course. I bought my copies on Half.com, I bought several copies and have already given them all away, I just have my one battered copy left. Her writings really are amazing.
I just wanted you to know that our family will be praying for yours and we anticipate a baby announcement in MARCH! 😀 Until then, just keep holding ever so tightly to God’s hand. Even when we cannot see, feel or even seem to know He is there——–I can gurantee if you give a squeeze you will feel Him squeeze you back 😀
We love and appreciate your family and your ministry very much. May God surround you in peace and we hope to hear happy news soon!

You will all be in our prayers! We were able to attend
the Orlando conference that your family put on. It was a
blessing. We will be praying for your “little one” to stay
put as long as he or she can. We have two friends who
had babies very early and they are both home from the
hospital now and doing fine.God Bless all three of you!
Thank you Nathan for the updates! We are rejoicing with you! So glad to hear that you’re all back home together! 🙂 This morning as I was praying for you, these verses came to mind:
“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb…my frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” Psalm 139:13-16
And once again I was just struck by the ‘biggness’ of our God! HE created this child. HE is knitting it together so perfectly. HE sees this child’s unformed body. And HE has ordained ALL the days written for this child. No matter the ‘birth date’ — God is in full control and can be completely trusted because He sees everything. He is never, ever taken by surprise or ‘caught off guard’!
Therefore, I pray for you that your hearts will continue to be strengthened in His faithfulness and love, especially as you wait for this little one’s arrival!!!!
I am praying for you. God’s got it in his hands. I was born at 32 weeks, 33 years ago. I’ve had no problems and have towered over my mother since I was 10 (She’s 5’2” and I’m 5’10”)!!!!
You’re all in my prays. God Bless you all.
We’re so thrilled to see this news!!! Praise God from Whom all Blessings flow!!!
We’ll keep praying for you all,
Sarah, for all in the family
