Ruthanne Elizabeth: Our Beautiful Gift from God

Ruthanne Elizabeth was born at 6:32 p.m. yesterday and weighed exactly 9 pounds (she’ll be measured later).

The Lord blessed us with a wonderful delivery here at home with the help of our midwife (she’s delivered more than 2,000 babies, and she was Mom’s midwife for John, Anna, Jesse, and Mary). Both Mommy and Baby are doing great!

We appreciate and are grateful for your prayers, not only during the pregnancy and delivery but also in the years ahead.

Ruth – “Companion”
Anne – “Graceful”
Elizabeth – “Consecrated to God”

“One whose life is dedicated to serving God and whose gracious spirit enables her to be a faithful companion to others.”

Hebrews 12:28: “Let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and Godly fear.”

Rejoicing in His mercy,
Christopher, Anna Marie, Joshua, and Ruthanne

  1. You’re probably getting tired of “she’s beautiful!”, but there just are no better words! Love the family photos — Anna Marie is beautiful, as always, and the photo of Joshua meeting his sister is precious. Get some rest, enjoy getting to know RuthAnne, and come back and post photos whenever you can. Thankyou for sharing her with us!

  2. What a joyful experience. Thank you so much for the meaning and the scripture relating to the baby’s name. How meaningful!! I wish you and the rest of the family God’s riches blessings as you raise another dear soul for His kingdom.

  4. What is the Bible verse on the wall behind the bed? My husband and I have crosses on the wall behind our bed…each were gifts from our moms when we were younger.

  7. Dear Christopher & Anna Marie,

congratulations! This post especially has really touched my heart about the wonderful gift from God that each child is.

Thank you also for your sharing about the choice of Ruthanne’s name. It was so soothing for me to learn today through your post that the first half of my first name means “Grace”, as grace is something I really need to grow into, with God’s strength.

Thank you for your living testimony of a young family´’s life firmly grounded on our Lord.

    Blessings from Belgium,
    Anne-Laure
