Bringing Joy

Life is merrily busy here at the Maxwell household. I finished Christmas Comes to Sunflower, and we’re enjoying Christmas activities intertwined into life. I’ll share about Sunday evening’s caroling soon!

Speaking of Christmas Comes to Sunflower, it’s exciting for me to send it to families as they complete the project. I marvel at the Lord’s goodness.

Walk Through Bethlehem was a great success. Between Friday and Saturday evenings, Joseph, John, Anna, Jesse, and Mary ran through their set of music and testimonies four times. It was delightful to see the joy the music brought to people. I noticed each evening a child in the play area, instead of playing with the toys, hung on the back of a nearby chair to listen to the music. It was a sweet moment. A family, who came to a conference two years ago when they were in the States from Australia, surprised us and showed up. They’re back in the States and decided to come to WTB after reading the blog post and being only an hour away. It was a joy to talk with them.

I especially appreciate the hours of time my brothers and sisters have invested in music practice. They diligently worked on arranging their pieces and spent hours practicing. We have one more music event coming up, which I’ll share about next week.

Merry Christmas from cold Kansas!

With Joy,
Sarah

  2. So glad the Walk Through Bethlehem event went well! I’m sure the Maxwell’s music was a blessing to all. :)
Thank you for sharing these photos—it always brings a smile when I see the Maxwell family singing (and the photo showing the little girls is so sweet!). You all certainly shine with the love of Jesus.
Warm hugs from chilly, windy Georgia, Mrs. Patti :)

  3. The Walk through Bethlehem looks like it was wonderful for everyone! I hope you enjoyed caroling as well. Have a blessed Christmas season!

  4. I would love to hear you all sing! Is it possible to post a clip here?

There are clips for their Simple Faith CD on line. There aren’t any of the Christmas arrangements, but some of the ones they have done at concerts.

  5. Very nice pics. The little ones are so cute. Did they sing as well? We’ve been iced in here in Texas. Hope you are had decent weather for your caroling. I spent four days working on church card ministry.
We have started on the new Moody story and are enjoying it very much.
    Stay warm,
    JB

The little ones sang Silent Night.

  6. Wow, Australia! What a sweet surprise that must have been! Have you considered traveling overseas to share your message? The Lord convicted my husband to take our family overseas to preach. I must admit, while we were worried about modesty when it came to airport security, the Lord made the whole process comfortable and everything went without a hitch! I know other parts of the world can greatly benefit from hearing your message. Either way, you will continue to be a blessing where ever you are!

We do have requests at times but it has been a number of years since we went overseas.
